Do not encrypt the email pay slip (i.e. emailed pay slip will be regular PDF files).

Emailed pay slips will include:

  • Pay slips generated and automatically emailed as part of the payrun;
  • Pay slips the employee has emailed to their registered or any other email address from ESS/MSS; and
  • Pay slips that are sent out to employees or former employees by a Payroll Agent or Manager from the Earnings History screen.

Apply encryption to the emailed pay slip for User Types: Employee (Preceda), Employee (SSO), Manager/Standard (Preceda), Manager/Standard (SSO).

The password to use when opening an encrypted pay slip is set on the Advanced User Setting screen's Email Pay slip Password field.

For Employee Self Service Users, the Email Pay slip Password field on the Advanced User Setting screen is hidden. ESS Users are automatically assigned with their Preceda password. Use the ESS password in UPPERCASE.

The emailed pay slip does not need a password to open.
0   The Preceda ID is used as the password to open the emailed pay slip for a Non-User of Preceda. In this scenario, the employee will need to request from the Payroll Officer to provide the employee ID number to view the pay slip.
1   The value in Global ID 01 field of the User Fields screen will be used as the password to open the emailed pay slip to a Non-User of Preceda.
2   The value in Global ID 02 field of the User Fields screen will be used as the password to open the emailed pay slip to a Non-User of Preceda.
3   The value in Global ID 03 field of the User Fields screen will be used as the password to open the emailed pay slip to a Non-User of Preceda.
4   The value in Global ID 04 field of the User Fields screen will be used as the password to open the emailed pay slip to a Non-User of Preceda.
